Begin your journey in Samburu National Reserve, a rugged wilderness on the northern frontier, home to rare species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich. The adventure continues to the Aberdare Ranges, where dense forests, waterfalls, and high-altitude moorlands create a magical atmosphere, offering a unique opportunity to view forest-dwelling animals from lodge balconies. Tour Plan

Day 1 Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
Depart Nairobi after breakfast, driving north past the equator into the rugged landscapes of Samburu. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by your first afternoon game drive in search of elephants, lions, and the Samburu Special Five.

Day 2 Full Day in Samburu
Spend the entire day exploring Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve is known for its unique species and dramatic landscapes along the Ewaso Nyiro River, where crocodiles and hippos thrive. Optional visit to a Samburu village to learn about their culture.

Day 3 Samburu – Aberdare National Park
After breakfast, drive south to the cool highlands of Aberdare. Check in at your base hotel for lunch, before transferring to a tree lodge, where you’ll enjoy a unique experience: watching forest wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, and leopards as they come to the floodlit waterhole at night.

Day 4 Aberdare – Lake Nakuru National Park
Depart after breakfast and drive via the scenic Rift Valley escarpment to Lake Nakuru. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, spotting flamingos, pelicans, white and black rhinos, giraffes, and lions among other species. The park is also a bird lover’s haven.

Day 5 Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

Day 6 Full Day in Masai Mara

Depending on the season, witness the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras cross the river. Optional Maasai village visit in the evening.
